Why should I use timeEdition? timeEdition adresses all those who are looking for a simple and efficient way for time recording of their activities - either for billing with customers or for internal producivity reports to optimize the management and planning of projects. Is timeEdition suitable for time management in agencies? Yes, timeEdition is in fact perfect for the daily usage in agencys and all sort of creative working environments. It renders the traditional time report usesless and allows you to get a detailed overview and documentation of all tasks and working hours for all employees in your company. What is the target audience of timeEdition? timeEdition adresses all professional groups working with computers all day - for example designers, illustrators, developers, software designers, consultants, editors, journalists and many more. Can I translate timeEdition into another language? All translations currently available for timeEdition are noted on the download page. We would be happy about every contribution you want to share with the community and especially about new translations for timeEdition. Can I run timeEdition from a USB memory stick? timeEdition stores its data to the well-known system directories, depending on the operating system you currently use. But you can always change this behaviour by specifying another storage directory in the timeEdition preferences dialog. By using the current timeEdition installation directory, you can run timeEdition from any USB storage device you like (it has to be writable, of course). In wich format is the data of timeEdition stored on disk? timeEdition uses a SQLite database for storing the data to disk. This allows you to access all data including customers, clients and recordings with any third party SQLite application you like. You can use SQLiteManager for example, which is actually a part of the MAMP distribution. There is also a Mozilla Firefox add-on called "SQLite Manager" available. |
