Translations:

Currently there are only translations for english and german available as they are noted on the download page. But we would be very happy about every contribution you want to share with the community and especially about new translations for timeEdition.

timeEdition uses the common internationalisazion features of RealBasic for translations - in fact all text blocks are variables, that are available for all languages. To edit existing or add new translations you need an installed version of the RealBasic development environment (the functionally limited trial version should be sufficient in theory).

Required files:

All files you need for translations are available in the Sourceforge subversion repository. The timeEdition application sources along with the RealBasic project file are located in the directory "SRC", the language files are located in its subdirectory "SRC/Localization". You can use any subversion client of your choice to checkout these files or the webbased interface available at:
http://timeedition.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/timeedition/

Additions or corrections to existing languages:

The usual urse of action for adding text blocks or correcting errors should be the following:
  • check out the source files from SVN
  • open the RealBasic project and edit the files you want to change
  • build / run the project
If you want to send us your changes, there is no need to send us the complete source package with all plugins. For translation changes we only need the changed files from the directory SRC/Localization

Adding new languages:

timeEdition currently uses RealBasic standard features to provide a multilanguage timeEdition application, so there is no really comfortable way to add new languages. You need to identify all used language files containing the translatable text blocks and add a new entry for the new language to each of their variables.

oOu can find more informations about how to build timeEdition from source on the download page of this website.
